giCentre Seminar at City St George's, University of London

I gave a seminar at the giCentre, City St George's, University of London, titled **“Socio-technical Aspects and Opportunities for Research in Science Museums.”** In the talk, I presented my research on collaboration, authorship, and credit in the development of interactive exhibits in science museums. I discussed how interactive and data-driven museum experiences are often shaped by many people, practices, and technologies, while the work behind them can remain largely invisible to visitors. The seminar also explored science museums as a rich context for visualization and HCI research, especially for thinking about how public understandings of science, expertise, and participation are shaped through design.

WASP Study Trip to the North of the UK

Last week, I joined a WASP study trip to the north of the UK together with other PhD students from the WASP programme. Over the course of the week, we visited several universities and research environments working across AI, robotics, visualization, and related fields. The trip included lab visits, poster sessions, and research presentations, offering many opportunities to share my own work, learn about ongoing research, and discuss possible connections across disciplines. I especially appreciated the conversations around how different research traditions approach technology, design, and society. Thank you to WASP and to all the hosting universities and researchers for the generous discussions and inspiring exchanges.

WASP Winter Conference in Örebro

Attended the WASP Winter Conference in Örebro. It is always inspiring to see the work of other WASP students and to get a sense of the scale and diversity of ongoing research. Also received my annual WASP rubber duck, which I am starting to consider an important part of the experience.

First VIS Conference in Vienna

Attended my first VIS conference in Vienna. It was a great experience to meet people working in data visualization, see a wide range of inspiring work, and get a better sense of the field. Also, Vienna was very nice. <div style="display:grid; gap:1rem; grid-template-columns:repeat(2, minmax(0, 1fr));"> <img src="/news-pics/vis2025/photo_2026-04-16_19-23-32.jpg" alt="vis2025" style="width:100%; max-height:300px; object-fit:cover;" /> <img src="/news-pics/vis2025/photo_2026-04-16_19-23-38.jpg" alt="vis2025" style="width:100%; max-height:300px; object-fit:cover;" /> <img src="/news-pics/vis2025/photo_2026-04-16_19-23-42.jpg" alt="vis2025" style="width:100%; max-height:300px; object-fit:cover;" /> <img src="/news-pics/vis2025/photo_2026-04-16_19-23-47.jpg" alt="vis2025" style="width:100%; max-height:300px; object-fit:cover;" /> </div>

Jury Member at Gotland Game Conference

I was honored to be invited as a jury member at the [Gotland Game Conference](https://gotlandgameconference.com/2025/). It felt especially meaningful to return to the same conference I once participated in as a student — this time from a completely different perspective. I was genuinely impressed by the quality and creativity of the student projects. The conference is organized by the fantastic team at Uppsala University's Game Design department, and it continues to be a very special space for emerging work. <div style="display:grid; gap:1rem; grid-template-columns:repeat(2, minmax(0, 1fr));"> <img src="/news-pics/ggc2025/511062288_1290721969726895_4284836495460139053_n.jpg" alt="ggc2025" style="width:100%; max-height:300px; object-fit:cover;" /> <img src="/news-pics/ggc2025/511198758_1290720416393717_4781812209233128118_n.jpg" alt="ggc2025" style="width:100%; max-height:300px; object-fit:cover;" /> <img src="/news-pics/ggc2025/512401200_1290721319726960_7319401752473943797_n.jpg" alt="ggc2025" style="width:100%; max-height:300px; object-fit:cover;" /> <img src="/news-pics/ggc2025/512452291_1290721346393624_5068992948019014426_n.jpg" alt="ggc2025" style="width:100%; max-height:300px; object-fit:cover;" /> </div>
