I'm a PhD researcher in Data Visualisation at Linköping University, working at the intersection of interactive data visualization, feminist theory, and game studies. Originally from Ukraine, I'm now based in Norrköping, Sweden.
At the heart of my work is a curiosity about epistemology — about how knowledge is made, and who gets to make it. I like to challenge the idea that science and data can simply speak for themselves as neutral, objective truths. Every outcome of science reflects choices about what to show, how to show it, and whose perspective gets centered. Design, in this sense, is always a statement — and I'm interested in making that statement conscious.
Much of my current work unfolds in and around science museums, where complex, contested ideas meet wider publics. I'm curious about the choices embedded in those encounters — and what it might mean to make them differently.
Outside of research, I spend my time with my wife, our two cats, and our dog. I love video games, crocheting, Lego, and board games.
